WELCOME TO PAPILLON, THE INCONSEQUENTIAL RUMINATIONS OF A WRITER AND EDITOR

oh well...

'You need humidity,' the GP told me this morning when I consulted him about a persistent cough, so I waited for him to write a prescription for four weeks in the Amazon rainforest. Instead I was despatched to the chemists for cough mixture, herbal lozenges and a gargle, with advice to steam my face four to five times daily. Second choice after a holiday somewhere exotic, would have been an antibiotic. It's so easy just swallowing a tablet...

Disappointedly yours

Jane
