inconsequential

It's been a season of maxi dresses and kimonos, both wonderfully forgiving garments. Due to the ubiquitous sales, I've managed to pick up many bargains, from House of Fraser to Debenhams to Dorothy Perkins.
I spent three happy weeks floating around the Lake Geneva area of Switzerland in my long dresses, blissfully unaware of resembling a moving marquee clutching a camera.  Now I'm out and about in Edinburgh wearing my kimonos and feeling light (metaphorically) and carefree.

Earlier in the summer I ended many a day by surfing the web for maxi dresses, now I am surfing it for kimonos.  Well, we have to surf for something.  Or so we convince ourselves.  My partner looks for cranes and other large pieces of machinery.  Others check out books or films, recipes for the coming winter, or spend countless hours playing chess, Harry Potter's Weasley Kitchen Game or Suduku.
