félicitations

I was so fed up with the waiting. At the time it seemed like a brilliant idea. Hard work, ongoing expense, but worth the end product. People kept saying I’d be pleased. Time and time I questioned if I’d done the right thing. Towards the end I became quite jittery. The hard work wasn’t done. There’d always be maintenance, always something more to do.

The final weeks were the most difficult. I just wanted it to be over. When will it happen? I kept asking. Lots of toeing and froing conversations. Misunderstandings. Why couldn’t people just say what they meant? Why were there so many complications. Why was I having to work so hard at understanding what was going on?

Be patient. It will happen, people said. Yes, but when? Not long to go now. You’re doing well. You’ll see, it will all be worth it in the end. All those encouraging comments. But I’d lost faith that it would be okay. It had been months.

Then finally, after days of pushing (emails flying backwards and forwards), the product arrived.
