I'd forgotten the wind could whistle

As anyone who's ever visited Skye will know, the weather is extremely dodgy. Yesterday, our first day here, was beautiful and we cycled round the peninsula at Waternish. By night time, however, a wind had got up and it's been blustery and wet since then. We drove round the most northerly part of the island this afternoon. Although it stopped raining for several hours the wind was still high and we watched it blowing across the sea. Tonight I've worked on an essay for uni, accompanied by an intermittent whistling from the outside. It could be worse - we might be camping. It's hard to believe we're officially into spring.

Ponderingly yours

Jane
