The Rhône Alpes is a beautiful region. Within easy reach of Grenoble are three national/regional parks: the Chartreuse, the Vercors and the Ecrins, all with their own character. The ever-changing light over the mountains is glorious, especially the haziness in the morning and early evening. When it snows, it does so properly.
